Getting Started & Study Lessons Checklist

Below the introduction in this post is a “study lessons checklist” (which includes direct links to each lessons) for ALL members.

Before getting to our check list though, I would like to share a few things: For one-- I kinda view this study as a marathon. We all need to start out at the SAME point, and then each of us will go at our own pace. The thing about a marathon... is that it doesn’t matter how long you take--- as long as you FINISH! This is NOT a race! We are NOT racing each other to try and finish first. We are joining together to encourage each other TO KEEP GOING! Don’t quit! I may finish ahead of you--- others may finish ahead of you-- but if you keep going, others will see you ahead of them. If I don’t quit, then don’t you quit either no matter how long it takes. Because there truly is a reward at the finish line!
This isn’t about how fast you are going through the assignments. This is about you being ROOTED in God’s Word to help you grow for a life time! So, please do the assignments one at a time, and in order. Because in doing so, you will have so much more understanding.
  • Reading assignment will be posted 2 or 3 times a week (depending on how we are doing). It is my goal to help you walk through the entire study... one step at a time. Please note the READING assignments will include portions of the Old Testament, and the New Testament. This is for your devotional reading time (which I also explain in a different file, because there is a difference in devotional reading and study).
  • Study lessons will correspond with the reading assignments. However, they will be broken up between the Old and New Testament. You do not have to do both... if the lesson are to intense for you (and you don’t have the time) to do both... then that is OK. Just pick one and stick with THAT lessons series. Occasionally other reading assignments outside of the actual study will be posted, but this is so it will help you to go further in your studies. As you go through the lessons, please post your comments for that lesson UNDER that lesson. So that way, the conversations pertaining to that lesson are all in one place. General questions and comments about the over all study are welcomed under the reading assignments, or in general post.

Yes, these study lessons might seem a little intense, but don’t get discourage. Don’t feel overwhelmed. Just take each lesson, one at a time and know that all of us are on different steps and so no one is behind!

Before anything-- be sure to read our Welcome Letter if you haven't already.

AND NOW WE BEGIN OUR WALK! Happy trails! Please be sure to let us know how you are doing.
