🤔 Have you ever just felt like there was much you were missing while reading your Bible, because you had a hard time understanding Scripture (especially from the Old Testament)? Have you ever wanted to be involved in a Bible study with a teacher willing to help you with your studies, but maybe couldn't find one, or couldn't afford it?
That is what this online study is based on! There is a verse that has struck Kassie to the core, and has been a driving desire in her from God. The verse is in Acts chapter 8.
- But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip saying, "Get up and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza." (This is a desert road.) So he got up and went; and there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure; and he had come to Jerusalem to worship, and he was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah. Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go up and join this chariot." Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?" And he said, "Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?" And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. (Acts 8:26-31 NASB)
Notice what the man tells Phillip (when asked if he understood what he was reading). "How could I, unless someone guides me?" This man needed someone to teach him, to come along side of him and help him. And that's what we want to do here in this online study, and from book series, Growing in God's Word.
In this free online study, we are going to be looking at (and digging deeper into) God's Word through various Books of the Bible.

2 Timothy 2:15 says: Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to
be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth (NASB).
Please note that in this study, we will be providing "reading assignments" that offer portions of the Old Testament, and of the New Testament. However, the actual study lessons will be divided between the Old Testament and New Testament. You do not have to do both at the same time and you can pick which one you would like to focus on first (and of course you CAN do both if you would like).
Remember that this is a totally self-paced study. We have provide a "how to get started and a study checklist" (this includes direct links to each assignment) for you to go by.

Information on this series:
The first book of the is Grow in God's Word. Growing in God's Word This book
is filled with study tips and biblical insights about the Bible itself and
study notes and insights for every Book of the Bible. It's written in a
commentary style, but also gives you room to write down your own notes.
This
companion notebook is designed with lots of suggested verses for different
topics and allows for you to write them out, one verse at a time (and one day
at a time). Thus, giving you a verse of the day to think on, and while doing
so, you create your own personal concordance.
This personal notebook has tips on how to make the most of
your quiet time. And is designed for you to be able to journal your
thoughts and
verses God is teaching you.
The FORTH book in this series, which is a very detailed study is in the process of being being written. It will be in a notebook study form (meaning you will have room to write your findings and answers in it) It is also the study book that these lessons are being pulled from.
